The Philadelphia 76ers are just one of the teams helping to turn the NBA playoffs upside down. Sixers fans like myself had no expectations when the team slipped to the eighth seed in the East, but now this eighth seed is two wins away from the conference finals. This is the kind of run that no eighth seed has been on since 1999 – which makes total sense, considering the kind of years that 1999 and 2012 have been.
