Game report National Shield 2nd Round – London Thunder Men v Kent Crusaders II

On Sunday 22, Thunder managed to beat Kent Crusaders II after a convincing performance.

It was a close match in the first two periods, with the guests leading by two at half time (24-26).

In the second half, Wale helped the rest of the team find good offensive solutions, playing with composure, well supported by the other guards around him.

An effective man to man defense was key, leading to a number of steals and transitions, with Mo and Samuel showing great effort. Henry was strong under the boards, taking a good number of rebounds.

Offensively, the availability of 12 players gave the coach more options. A number of set plays were used, not giving the opponents much time to adapt defensively.

Overall it was a great team effort, with three players scoring in double figures. This game showed what this team can achieve by playing together with focus for 40’.
