Match report Southwark Pride v London Thunder 27-10-18

London Thunder fought for the win in this local derby. The gym was packed with supporters from the previous game. This was destined to be a crunch game with either side able to win. The first quarter set the tempo Daniel and Mo started the scores but the energy in the gym was on the side of Pride. Thunder were lucky to end the first quarter 16-11. The game was on, Pride came out in the second quarter and pressed hard 4 turnovers back to back made Southwark ahead by halftime winning the second quarter so up at halftime 23-11. During the halftime Coach Steve had a strong word with the squad this game was down to who wanted it more. Start of the 3rd. TJ began to dominate the key and kept out of foul trouble Thunder won the 3rd quarter 19-12 all they had to do was stay in control and run the transition and not get caught in the halfway line traps. Southwark needed to press and the last quarter was all to play for . Foul trouble for pride made them lose their key player on the post which gave Thunder the opportunity to capitalise and win by 9 points.
